The Nikkei 225 average price on the Tokyo stock market on January 13 marked a sharp increase. The closing price was 409.39 yen (1.85%) higher than the previous day and was 22,597 yen 35 yen. 13日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は大幅続伸した。終値は前日比409円39銭（1.85％）高の２万2597円35銭だった。６月21日以来、約３週間ぶりの高値。前日の米株高を受けて投資家心理が強気に傾いた。外国為替市場で円相場が１ドル＝112円台後半で推移し、電機や機械などの輸出関連株を中心に買いが入った。東証１部の値上がり銘柄数は全体の７割を超えた。
米中通商問題を巡り新たな悪材料が出ておらず、米中摩擦への懸念がやや後退した。前日の米株高の流れを引き継ぎ、東京市場でも幅広い銘柄が買われた。コマツや日立建機など中国関連とされる銘柄が上昇した。
ソフトバンクのほか、12日の取引終了後に好決算を発表したファーストリテイリングなど主力の値がさ株の上昇が目立った。この２銘柄の上昇だけで日経平均株価を160円強押し上げた。
日経平均は一時、上げ幅が500円を超える場面もあった。午後に入り、海外ヘッジファンドなどの短期筋が円安進行などを材料に株価指数先物の買いを膨らませ、現物株指数を押し上げた。
東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）は続伸した。前日比20.39ポイント（1.19％）高の1730.07で終えた。ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400も続伸。終値は前日比182.86ポイント（1.21％）高の１万5342.42だった。
東証１部の売買代金は概算で２兆5472億円。売買高は12億7836万株だった。東証１部の値上がり銘柄数は1547、値下がりは473、変わらずは80銘柄だった。
任天堂やソニーが高い。東海カーボンも上げた。一方、安川電機やユニー・ファミリーマートホールディングスが下げた。
13日の新興企業向け株式市場で、日経ジャスダック平均株価は続伸した。終値は前日比８円87銭（0.23％）高の3793円95銭だった。12日の米株高で投資家心理が改善し、新興企業株にも買いが入った。もっとも、日経平均株価が大幅高となるなか投資資金の一部は東証１部の大型株に向かい、ジャスダック平均は心理的節目の3800円を前に伸び悩んだ。
ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で520億円、売買高は9775万株だった。セリアや夢真ホールディングス、リーバイスが上昇した。半面、ラクオリア創薬やハーモニック・ドライブ・システムズ、マクドナルドは下落した。
東証マザーズ指数も続伸した。終値は前日比6.90ポイント（0.66％）高い1046.92だった。ブランジスタや弁護士ＣＯＭ、ロコンドが上昇した。一方、ＭＴＧやメルカリ、ＳＨＩＦＴが下落した。
