The Nikkei Stock Average fell slightly on the Tokyo stock market on Thursday. ３日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は小幅に続落した。終値は前日比26円39銭（0.12％）安の２万1785円54銭で、４月13日以来およそ３カ月ぶりの安値を付けた。米中の貿易摩擦の激化が中国の景気減速につながるとの警戒感を背景に銅などの商品市況が悪化し、非鉄金属や海運など景気敏感株に売りがかさんだ。大引けにかけては下落していた中国・上海株式相場が下げ渋ったため日経平均先物に買い戻しが入り、下げ幅を縮めた。
日経平均は後場に200円超下げる場面があった。「中国通貨、人民元や上海株が下落すると自動的に日本株の先物を売るプログラムが仕組まれたファンドが主導した」との見方があった。前場は外国為替市場での円安・ドル高を手掛かりに100円あまり上昇する場面があったが、買いは続かなかった。
ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は続落した。終値は前日比17.02ポイント（0.11％）安の１万4981.28だった。東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）は続落し、2.49ポイント（0.15％）安の1692.80で終えた。
東証１部の売買代金は概算で２兆5298億円。売買高は14億8426万株だった。東証１部の値下がり銘柄数は1541、値上がりは486、変わらずは69銘柄だった。
三井金属や住友金属鉱山、古河電気工業の下げが目立った。ヤマハやダイキン工業、東京エレクトロンも下落した。一方、カシオやＴＤＫ、太陽誘電が上昇した。ソフトバンクやファストリ、リクルートも買われた。
３日の新興企業向け株式市場で、日経ジャスダック平均株価は続落した。終値は前日比32円87銭（0.86％）安の3793円89銭だった。連日で年初来安値を更新し、2017年12月６日以来およそ７カ月ぶりの安値水準。中国・上海株などアジア株式相場が一時大幅安となり、投資家心理が悪化。投資家のリスク回避姿勢が強まり、新興企業株にも売りが出た。
ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で502億円、売買高は9418万株だった。セリアやフェローテク、東映アニメが下落した。半面、マクドナルドやハーモニック、ワークマンが上昇した。
東証マザーズ指数も続落。終値は前日比11.67ポイント（1.11％）安の1044.29だった。連日で年初来安値を更新し、17年９月14日以来およそ10カ月ぶりの安値を付けた。ミクシィやそーせい、ＵＮＩＴＥＤが下落した。一方、サイバダインやパークシャ、ＪＩＡが高い。
