14日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は５営業日ぶりに反落した。終値は前日比190円81銭（0.87％）安の２万1777円29銭だった。トランプ米大統領が13日、ティラーソン国務長官を解任すると発表し、米政権運営への不透明感が高まった。13日の米国市場ではハイテク株などへの利益確定の売りが増え、東京市場でも東エレクや信越化といった半導体関連銘柄が売られた。日経平均の下げ幅は一時284円まで広がった。
米国政権が中国の情報通信機器などを標的とする輸入制限を検討しているとも伝わった。中国の反発が強まって、貿易面での対立が激化するとの懸念も日本株の重荷になった。
米ＣＮＮによると米国時間13日に行われたペンシルベニア州下院補選は開票率が100％に達したが、共和党候補と民主党候補のどちらが勝ったかは未確定となっている。
東証１部の売買代金は概算２兆2537億円と今年４番目の少なさだった。売買高は11億5609万株で値下がり銘柄数は1262、値上がり708、変わらず100だった。
ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は反落し、前日比76.47ポイント（0.49％）安の１万5412.08だった。東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）も反落し、7.82ポイント（0.45％）安の1743.21だった。
ファーストリテイリングや日東電工、日立も安い。今期純利益見通しが市場予想に届かなかったツルハホールディングスが売られた。半面、景気の動向に業績が左右されにくいディフェンシブ銘柄には買いが入った。14日午前に発表の中国の１～２月の小売売上高が堅調だったため、花王や資生堂、ユニチャームが買われた。

ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で1059億円、売買高は１億8730万株だった。明豊エンタープライズやジェクシード、イナリサーチなどが上昇した。一方、Ｃｉメディカやラクオリア創薬、伊豆シャボテンリゾートなどは下落した。
東証マザーズ指数は小幅続伸し、終値は前日比3.57ポイント（0.29％）高の1243.10だった。ジェイテックコーポレーションのほかサンバイオやメドレックスなどが上げた。半面、時価総額上位のそーせいグループが大幅反落したことが指数の重荷となった。総医研ホールディングスやフィル・カンパニーも下げた。
