The Nikkei Stock Average fell back for the first time in three business days on the Tokyo stock market on the 20 th opening of the week and the closing price was 22,261 yen 76 yen, down 135 yen 04 (0.60%) from the previous weekend. 週明け20日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は３営業日ぶりに反落し、終値は前週末比135円04銭（0.60％）安の２万2261円76銭だった。円相場が一時１ドル＝111円台後半に強含んだことを受け、海外投資家などから主力の大型株を中心に利益確定売りが出た。日経平均の下げ幅は180円を超える場面があった。ただ、日本銀行による上場投資信託（ＥＴＦ）買いの観測が支えとなり、取引終了にかけて下げ渋った。
前週に引き続き不安定な相場だった。朝方の売り一巡後に日経平均は一時上昇した。企業の決算発表を前週に終えて目新しい材料が見当たらないなか、次第に売りに押される銘柄が増えた。東京エレクトロンなど電気機器セクターの下げが目立った。
東証１部の売買代金は概算で２兆3496億円。売買高は14億5466万株だった。今週の日米の祝日が意識されて様子見姿勢が強まり、売買代金は４営業日ぶりに３兆円を割った。東証１部の値下がり銘柄数は700と、全体の約34％を占めた。値上がりは1263、変わらずは74だった。値がさ株の東京エレクトロンとファナックで日経平均を30円近く押し下げた。
ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は３営業日ぶりに反落。終値は前週末比56.70ポイント（0.36％）安の１万5605.75だった。東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）は３営業日ぶりに反落し、4.11ポイント（0.23％）安の1759.65で終えた。主力株への売りで日経平均やＴＯＰＩＸは下落したが、時価総額の小さい銘柄で構成するＴＯＰＩＸスモールは上昇した。
17日に今期業績の減益予想を発表したＭＳ＆ＡＤインシュアランスグループホールディングスに売りが続いた。同業大手のＳＯＭＰＯホールディングスも下げた。株価指数先物が主導する下落となり、京セラやファーストリテイリング、ソフトバンクグループといった指数への寄与度の大きい銘柄が安かった。旭化成やコマツも下落。
一方、トヨタ自動車など自動車株に買いが入った。アサヒグループホールディングスが午後一段高で年初来高値を付けた。クボタやキリンホールディングス、住友電気工業が買われた。イオンやオリエンタルランドも高い。
東証２部株価指数は３営業日ぶりに反落した。約6000億円の増資を発表した東芝が、既存株主の利益の希薄化を嫌気して売られた。直近に急騰した井村屋グループも大幅安。半面、ラオックスや朝日インテック、シャープが上昇した。
20日の新興企業向け株式市場で、日経ジャスダック平均株価は３日続伸した。終値は前週末比39円98銭（1.09％）高い3710円00銭だった。19日付の日経ヴェリタスなどが量子コンピューターの将来性を巡る記事を掲載したのをきっかけに、エヌエフ回路設計ブロックやユビキタスなど関連銘柄に買いが入った。
ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で697億円、売買高は8302万株だった。テクノホライゾン・ホールディングスも上げた。半面、半導体製造装置のアバールデータは午後になって利益確定の売りが増えた。
東証マザーズ指数も３日続伸した。終値は12.25ポイント（1.08％）高の1145.13だった。中村超硬やブライトパス・バイオが上げた。一方、そーせいグループやＰＫＳＨＡ Ｔｅｃｈｎｏｌｏｇｙは安い。
