　大幅上昇の素地が整っていたなか、内閣府が発表した１月の機械受注統計で、設備投資の先行指標となる「船舶・電力を除く民需」は前月比15.0％増だった。市場予想（2.7％増）を大きく上回り、買い安心感につながった。主力株の上昇がけん引する形で、日経平均はじりじりと上げ幅を広げた。一時上げ幅は350円を超えた。

　ただ、午後に入ると高値圏でもみ合った。日銀の金融政策決定会合の結果発表をあすに控え、参加者の間で様子見姿勢が広がった。取引終了にかけて、日経平均は１万7200円台で膠着感を強めた。

　ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は３日続伸した。終値は前週末比184.52ポイント（1.50％）高の１万2480.68だった。東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）も３日続伸し、20.63ポイント（1.52％）高の1379.95で終えた。

　東証１部の売買代金は概算で２兆620億円と低調。売買高は20億1976万株だった。東証１部の値上がり銘柄数は1702、値下がりは177、変わらずは63だった。
