The trading value of TSE 1 department was estimated at 2,668.2 billion yen on an approximate basis and the sales volume was 1,382.2 million shares. The number of price issues in TSE 1 part was 1087, the price drop was 897, unchanged was 82 stocks.
Nintendo, Tokyo Electron, and Keyence rose. Sony and Honda were also high. On the other hand, insurance stocks such as Dai-ichi Life HD, SOMPO, T & D were soft. Daito Jyutsu and Mitsubishi Corporation also showed a declining rate.

The Jasdaq market trading value was estimated at 139.2 billion yen, trading volume was 103.61 million shares. Rakuolia drug discovery announced the establishment of an industry-academia collaborative research center at Nagoya University has increased significantly, and the trading value has expanded to nearly a third of the market as a whole. Recam and Harmonic Drive Systems also rose. On the other hand, Meiho Enterprise and Visco Technologies, Nippon Ichi Software fell.
The TSE Mothers Index continued to rise for the fifth day and the closing price was 1219.70, 3.63 points (0.30%) higher than the previous day. JIA, Grace Technology, Riken etc raised. Meanwhile, the declines in Mixi, GNI Group, Phil company, etc., which are the top market capitalization, became burdens of the index, and the range of increase was limited.

21日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は反発した。終値は前日比45円71銭（0.21％）高の２万1970円81銭だった。外国為替市場での円高一服や20日の米国市場でのハイテク株高で、東京市場でも半導体関連株や自動車株といった輸出関連銘柄に買いが優勢になった。
日経平均の午前終値は前日比の上げ幅が100円を超え節目の２万2000円を上回ったのに対し、午後の取引では売り買いが交錯し日経平均は乱高下した。円安進行をきっかけに上げ幅が200円を超える場面があったが、その後銀行株への売りが膨らんで投資家心理が悪化し、日経平均は下げに転じた。
取引終了にかけては個人の押し目買いが入り、日経平均は再びプラスに転じた。小型株で構成するＴＯＰＩＸ（東証株価指数）スモールの上昇が目立つなど、中小型株を中心に個人の買い意欲は旺盛との見方もあった。日経平均の日中値幅（安値と高値の差）は293円と比較的広がった。
ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は続落した。終値は前日比22.72ポイント（0.15％）安の１万5558.41だった。ＴＯＰＩＸも続落し、0.84ポイント（0.05％）安の1761.61で終えた。
東証１部の売買代金は概算で２兆6862億円、売買高は13億8202万株だった。東証１部の値上がり銘柄数は1087、値下がりは897、変わらずは82銘柄だった。
任天堂や東京エレクトロン、キーエンスが上昇した。ソニーとホンダも高かった。一方、第一生命ＨＤやＳＯＭＰＯ、Ｔ＆Ｄなど保険株が軟調だった。大東建託と三菱商事も下落率が目立った。
21日の新興企業向け株式市場で、日経ジャスダック平均株価は５日続伸した。終値は前日比22円79銭（0.56％）高い4067円85銭と５日以来およそ２週ぶりの高値だった。東証１部の主力株で構成する日経平均株価が反発し、新興市場でも買い安心感が広がった。午後に日経平均が一時下げに転じると日経ジャスダック平均も上げ幅を縮小したが、好材料の出た銘柄への個別物色の動きが根強く、相場を支えた。
ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で1392億円、売買高は１億3616万株だった。名古屋大学での産学協同研究センター設置を発表したラクオリア創薬は大幅高となり、売買代金も市場全体の３分の１近くに膨らんだ。レカムやハーモニック・ドライブ・システムズも上昇した。半面、明豊エンタープライズやヴィスコ・テクノロジーズ、日本一ソフトウェアは下落した。
東証マザーズ指数も５日続伸し、終値は前日比3.63ポイント（0.30％）高の1219.70だった。ＪＩＡやグレイステクノロジー、じげんなどが上げた。一方、時価総額上位のミクシィやジーエヌアイグループ、フィル・カンパニーなどの下落が指数の重荷となり、上げ幅は限定的だった。
