Resource related stocks such as International Oil Development Tech Co. and Mitsubishi Corporation were also bought due to the rise in international commodity prices. Komatsu and Nidec were also bought. On the other hand, Tokyo Electron and SUMCO were sold as the burden of US semiconductor stock declined on the 21st. Eisai disappointed with the delay in the development of Alzheimer's drugs and the selling expanded. Other pharmaceutical products such as Ono Pharmaceutical Industry and Daiichi Sankyo were also sold.

The TSE Mothers index repulsed and the closing price was 1207.95, 8.32 points (0.69%) higher than the previous day. Increase in bio-related stocks with large market capitalization such as GNI Group and Anjes contributed. Around the year's initial public offering (IPO) in the Mothers market came a whole round, the color of individual investors headed towards the theme stock. LTS and Soreiasia Pharma, also raised the family DP. Meanwhile, CYBERDYNE, sign post, DMP lowered.

ジャスダック７日ぶり反落、マザーズは反発
22日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は小幅に反発した。終値は前日比36円66銭（0.16％）高の２万2902円76銭だった。三菱ＵＦＪフィナンシャル・グループや三井住友フィナンシャルグループ、りそなホールディングスといった銀行株に買いが優勢となり、相場を支えた。時価総額の大きい銀行株の上昇がけん引し、東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）は３日連続で年初来高値を更新した。
米長期金利の高止まりで、運用環境の改善などを期待した買いが銀行株に入った。ＴＯＰＩＸは6.47ポイント（0.35％）高の1829.08だった。ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は前日比55.27ポイント（0.34％）高の１万6194.07と反発した。
国際商品相場の上昇で国際石油開発帝石や三菱商事といった資源関連株も買われた。コマツや日本電産も買われた。一方、21日の米半導体株の下落が重荷となり、東京エレクトロンやＳＵＭＣＯが売られた。エーザイはアルツハイマー治療薬の開発の遅れを失望した売りが膨らんだ。小野薬品工業や第一三共など他の医薬品株も売られた。
クリスマス前で市場参加者は少なく、手がかり難で相場の方向感は乏しかった。日経平均は前日終値を下回る時間帯も多かったが、日中の値幅（安値と高値の差）は107円と11月29日以来、約３週間ぶりの小ささだった。
東証１部の売買代金は概算で２兆4038億円だった。前日を上回ったものの、５営業日連続で２兆円台にとどまった。売買高は14億8922万株だった。東証１部の値上がり銘柄数は1124と全体の約54％を占めた。値下がり844、変わらず96銘柄だった。
東証２部株価指数は４営業日ぶりに反落した。東芝や朝日インテクが下げ、プレミアＧやＪＥＳＣＯが上げた。
22日の新興企業向け株式市場で、日経ジャスダック平均株価は小幅ながら７営業日ぶりに反落した。終値は前日比４円33銭（0.11％）安い3902円07銭となった。指数が約27年ぶりの高値圏にある中、一部の銘柄に利益確定売りが出た。短期の値幅取りを狙った個人投資家の資金がヴィスコや幸和製といった値動きの大きな直近上場銘柄に向かったことも既存上場銘柄の重荷となった。
ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で966億円、売買高は１億4683万株だった。ラクオリア創薬やカイカ、レカムが下落した。半面、ジェクシードや日本マクドナルドホールディングス、トレードワークスなどは上昇した。
東証マザーズ指数は反発し、終値は前日比8.32ポイント（0.69％）高の1207.95だった。ジーエヌアイグループやアンジェスといった時価総額の大きなバイオ関連銘柄の上昇などが寄与した。マザーズ市場での年内の新規株式公開（ＩＰＯ）が一巡し、個人投資家の物色がテーマ株に向かった。ＬＴＳやソレイジア・ファーマ、一家ＤＰも上げた。一方、ＣＹＢＥＲＤＹＮＥやサインポスト、ＤＭＰは下げた。
