10日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は３日続落した。前日比187円29銭（0.82％）安の２万2681円42銭で終えた。３日連続で下げるのは、９月４～６日以来およそ２カ月ぶり。米共和党の減税策の先送りや中東を巡る地政学リスクへの警戒感から投資家心理が弱気に傾いた。前日の乱高下でヘッジファンドなど短期筋のリスク許容度が低下し、利益確定目的の売りが優勢だった。日銀の上場投資信託（ＥＴＦ）買い入れへの思惑が支えとなり、日経平均は下げ渋る展開となった。
10日はオプション11月物などの特別清算指数（ＳＱ）算出日だった。ＳＱ算出に絡む売買では売り越しとなり、朝方に下げ幅を広げる場面があった。市場では「前日の乱高下の影響で先物などデリバティブ取引の参加者が少なく、少額の注文でも値が動きやすい１日だった」（外資系証券）との声が出ていた。
日経平均は後場、下げ渋った。日銀の上場投資信託（ＥＴＦ）買いが入るとの観測が相場を支えた。「個人投資家は下げ幅が大きい値がさ株に押し目買いを入れた」（ネット証券の情報担当者）との声もあった。
ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は続落した。終値は前日比126.55ポイント（0.79％）安の１万5993.18だった。東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）は続落し、12.67ポイント（0.70％）安の1800.44で終えた。
東証１部の売買代金は概算で３兆5894億円と、10日連続で３兆円を超えた。10日連続の３兆円超えは2013年５月８日～６月７日の23営業日以来の長さ。売買高は18億9046万株だった。東証１部の値下がり銘柄数は1357と、全体の約７割を占めた。値上がりは596、変わらずは81銘柄だった。
日経平均は週間でみると142円（0.6％）上げ、９週連続の上昇となった。12年11月～13年１月にかけての12週連続以来の連続上昇記録となった。
ソフトバンクグループやファナック、東京エレクトロンが下落した。17年12月期通期の業績予想の下方修正を嫌気したブリヂストンの下げが目立った。半面、任天堂やＳＵＭＣＯ、ソニーは上昇した。
東証２部株価指数は続落。東芝とシャープ、アサヒ衛陶が下げ、Ｄ．Ａ．コンソーシアムホールディングスと日本パワーファスニング、ゼットが上げた。
10日の新興企業向け株式市場で、日経ジャスダック平均株価は小幅に反発した。終値は前日比６円22銭（0.17％）高い3701円48銭だった。前場は安く推移していたが、午後になると好業績が期待できる銘柄を物色する動きが目立った。前日に今期の業績予想を上方修正した産業用ロボット向け減速機を手掛けるハーモニック・ドライブ・システムズが取引終了にかけて上げた。
ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で761億円、売買高は9369万株だった。前日に17年４～９月期の増益決算を発表したＵＴグループが高い。ビーマップやテクノホライゾン・ホールディングスも上げた。一方、エン・ジャパンや、日特エンジニアリング、フェローテックホールディングスは下落した。
一方、東証マザーズ指数は４日続伸した。終値は前日比10.96ポイント（0.97％）高い1143.67だった。そーせいグループやソレイジア・ファーマ、フィル・カンパニーが上げた。一方、ＰＫＳＨＡ Ｔｅｃｈｎｏｌｏｇｙは横ばい。ミクシィやエナリス、ＵＭＮファーマは下げた。
