10日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は６日続伸した。終値は前週末比132円80銭（0.64％）高の２万0823円51銭だった。連日で年初来高値を更新し、2015年７月21日以来の高値を回復。アベノミクス相場の高値（２万0868円03銭）まで約45円に迫った。米株高の一服で朝方は利益確定売りが先行したものの、国内外の景気拡大期待を背景とする買いが徐々に優勢となった。10月後半に本格化する３月期決算企業の９月期中間決算の発表を前に、利益の伸びを期待できる銘柄を物色する動きがみられた。
日経平均の６日続伸は16年12月６～16日（９日続伸）以来となる。ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は続伸し、終値は前週末比67.52ポイント（0.45％）高の１万4959.51。東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）も続伸し同7.98ポイント（0.47％）高の1695.14だった。ともに年初来高値を更新した。
東証１部の売買代金は概算で２兆5442億円。売買高は14億8520万株だった。東証１部の値上がり銘柄数は1421と全体の70％を占めた。値下がりは523、変わらずは86銘柄だった。
傘下企業がモンゴルで風力発電所を稼働させたソフトバンクグループが買われた。３～８月期の営業利益が前年同期比６％増えたと伝わったセブン＆アイ・ホールディングスは大幅高。米フィラデルフィア半導体株指数の上昇を受け、東京エレクトロンも上昇した。東証によるＴＯＰＩＸ構成銘柄の浮動株比率の見直しで、比率が上昇したリクルートホールディングスやキーエンスは上げた。
一方、米ハリケーン被害の保険金支払いが膨らむとの懸念からＭＳ＆ＡＤインシュアランスグループホールディングスが下げた。三菱商事や丸紅も安い。原発事故訴訟で損害賠償支払いを裁判所に命じられた東京電力ホールディングスは売られた。アルミ製部材の性能データ改ざん問題が発覚した神戸製鋼所は値幅制限の下限（ストップ安水準）で大引けで取引が成立した。
東証２部株価指数は続伸した。ＦＤＫやベネフィット・ワンが上げ、日本タングステンや神鋼鋼線工業が下げた。
