16日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は５営業日ぶりに反発した。終値は前日比111円44銭（0.56％）高の１万9943円26銭だった。英ポンドの急伸や米国の利上げ継続の見通しから円の対ドル相場が大幅に下げ、輸出関連銘柄に採算改善を期待した買いが入った。日銀が同日昼に金融緩和策の現状維持を決め、日米金利差の長期的な拡大期待につながったのも相場を支えた。午後には取引時間中としては２日ぶりに一時２万円を上回った。

ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は73.95ポイント（0.52％）高の１万4207.89と３日ぶりに反発した。東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）も7.95ポイント（0.50％）高の1596.04と３日ぶりに反発した。東証１部の売買代金は概算で３兆1900億円だった。株価指数先物・オプションの特別清算指数（ＳＱ）算出のあった９日以来、１週間ぶりに３兆円台となった。16日は海外株価指数の構成銘柄見直しに伴う取引が膨らんだ。売買高は22億8556万株だった。東証１部の値上がり銘柄数は1237、値下がり652、変わらず129だった。

ＮＴＴ、ソフトバンクとＫＤＤＩが上昇した。野村、ＳＯＭＰＯや三菱ＵＦＪといった金融株も上げた。資生堂や旭化成、パナソニックも高い。

半面、任天堂、東エレクトロンやファナックが下げた。15日に米ベインキャピタルが保有株の追加売却を公表したすかいらーくが下落した。「民事再生法の適用申請へ最終調整に入った」と伝わったタカタは終日売買停止だった。

東証２部株価指数は続落した。シャープとピクセラが下げ、ＲＶＨやペッパーが上げた。

16日の新興企業向け株式市場で、日経ジャスダック平均株価は小幅ながら反発した。終値は前日比67銭（0.02％）高い3220円50銭だった。手がかり材料に欠ける中で、小幅な値動きとなった。週末を控えて利益確定目的の売りが出た一方、取引終了間際には押し目買いの勢いが強まり上昇に転じた。

ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で582億円、売買高は１億452万株だった。アエリアやシンバイオ、ユニバーサルが上昇した。半面、ハーモニックや内外テックは下げた。

東証マザーズ指数は４日続伸した。終値は前日比8.31ポイント（0.73％）高い1147.96だった。2016年６月10日以来およそ１年ぶりの高値を付けた。アカツキやアンジェス、中村超硬が上昇した。一方、そーせいやモブキャス、エニグモは下落した。
