29日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は小幅に続落した。前週末比４円27銭（0.02％）安の１万9682円57銭で終えた。北朝鮮が29日早朝に弾道ミサイルを発射したと伝わり、地政学リスクを警戒する売りに押された。売り一巡後は好業績の中小型株に押し目買いが入って、小高く推移する場面が目立ったが、大引けにかけては売りが優勢だった。
29日は米国がメモリアルデーの祝日で休場のほか、ロンドン市場や中国本土市場も休場で、市場参加者は少なかった。米国でトランプ大統領の娘婿のクシュナー上級顧問とロシアとの関係を巡る疑惑が浮上するなど、海外発の不透明要因がくすぶっていることも日本株相場の重荷となった。
ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は小幅に続落した。終値は前週末比1.33ポイント（0.01％）安の１万3996.49だった。東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）は小反発し、0.79ポイント（0.05％）高の1570.21で終えた。
東証１部の売買代金は概算で１兆7928億円。売買高は12億7453万株だった。東証１部の値下がり銘柄数は942と、全体の46.7％を占めた。値上がりは933、変わらずは138銘柄だった。
米子会社の肺疾患治療薬が承認されなかったと発表した大日本住友が大幅安。新日鉄住金やＪＦＥの下げも大きかった。ソフトバンクや村田製が安い。菱地所や住友鉱が下落し、国際石開帝石やオリックスが売られた。一方、資生堂と任天堂が年初来高値を更新した。半導体メモリー会社の売却が順調に進むとの期待が高まった東芝の上げも目立った。クボタや旭化成が上昇した。アサヒやユニチャームが高く、ファストリや住友不が買われた。
東証２部株価指数は反発した。ＡＤプラズマとペッパーが上げ、象印とＤＡＣＨＤが下げた。
29日の新興企業向け株式市場で、日経ジャスダック平均株価は反発した。大引けは前週末に比べ５円84銭（0.19％）高い3152円46銭だった。1991年７月１日以来、約25年11カ月ぶりの高値を２営業日ぶりに更新した。マクドナルドやセリアなど主力株が上昇し買い安心感が広がった。日経平均株価が方向感のない値動きとなる中で、東証１部銘柄よりも値動きの良い新興企業株を買う動きが旺盛となった。ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で859億円と2016年３月30日以来およそ１年２カ月ぶりの高水準になった。
ジャスダック市場の売買高は１億5643万株で、２月14日以来となる３カ月半ぶりの大きさだった。ラクオリアやブロッコリー、日特エンジが上昇した。一方、株式売り出しを実施する平田機工は大幅安となった。アエリアやメイコーも下げた。
東証マザーズ指数は７日続伸した。終値は前週末に比べ2.56ポイント（0.23％）高の1097.01だった。リミックスは連日で年初来高値を更新し、ドリコムやインフォテリが上げた。半面、ソレイジアやアカツキ、イグニスは下げた。
