午前10時すぎに米軍がシリアに向けてミサイルを発射したと伝わると、地政学リスクへの警戒感が高まった。低リスク資産とされる円を買う動きが広がり、日経平均は先物主導で下げに転じる場面があった。東証１部の売買代金は概算で２兆7654億円と、３月10日以来１カ月ぶりの高水準となった。
日経平均の１万8600円台は年初来安値圏。取引終盤にかけてはリスク回避姿勢が和らぎ、値ごろ感に着目した買いが入った。大引けにかけては、米利上げの先行きを占ううえで重要な３月の米雇用統計の発表を日本時間夜に控え、上げ幅を再び縮小した。
ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は反発した。終値は前日比90.64ポイント（0.68％）高の１万3348.44だった。東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）も反発し、9.59ポイント（0.65％）高の1489.77で終えた。
東証１部の売買高は24億145万株だった。東証１部の値上がり銘柄数は1475と、全体の73.2％を占めた。値下がりは430、変わらずは107銘柄だった。
米国の中堅コンビニエンスストアを取得すると発表したセブン＆アイは4.34％高だった。国際石開帝石や楽天の上昇が目立った。ヤマトＨＤや花王の上げも大きかった。ＪＸＴＧやアサヒが高く、ＳＵＢＡＲＵやハウスが買われた。一方、任天堂や村田製が下落した。ＨＯＹＡやＪＡＬが安く、Ｔ＆Ｄやファストリが売られた。
東証２部株価指数は４日続落した。シャープとＭＣＪが下げ、朝日インテクとヨネックスが上げた。

東証マザーズ指数は反発した。終値は前日比14.17ポイント（1.40％）高い1025.80だった。そーせいとミクシィ、ジーエヌアイが上昇した。アスカネットやディディエ、ＡＣＣＥＳＳは下落した。
６日にマザーズ上場したインターネット通販事業者向けシステム開発のテモナ（3985）は上場２日目の７日午前に公募・売り出し価格（公開価格、2550円）の3.2倍となる8050円で初値を付けた。8480円まで上昇した後は買いが続かず、7020円まで伸び悩む場面もあった。終値は7800円で初値を250円（3.1％）下回った。
