The TSE Mothers index also dropped. The closing price was 174.2 points (1.64%) cheaper than the previous day 1034.62. Sohi and Didier, GNI fell. Meanwhile, Uryu, Dorikomu, Aiming rose.

17日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は小幅に反落し、前日比68円55銭（0.35％）安の１万9521円59銭で終えた。
円相場が１ドル＝113円台前半と円高・ドル安の進行が一服したのは投資家心理を支えたものの、３連休を前に様子見姿勢も強かった。
日中の値幅（高値と安値の差）は59円と小さかった。

ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は反落した。終値は前日比67.76ポイント（0.48％）安の１万4019.31だった。東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）は反落し、6.84ポイント（0.43％）安の1565.85で終えた。
東証１部の売買代金は概算で２兆4595億円。売買高は20億1361万株だった。世界の機関投資家が運用基準とするＦＴＳＥ株価指数の構成銘柄見直しに伴う売買が大引けで膨らみ、売買代金、売買高とも前日よりも多かった。
東証１部の値下がり銘柄数は1116と、全体の５割強を占めた。値上がりは742、変わらずは148銘柄だった。
トランプ米大統領が自動車メーカーに米国生産の拡大を求める姿勢を鮮明にしていると伝わり、トヨタや富士重、マツダなどが下落した。関西電や大ガス、東ガスなど電気・ガス株の下げも目立った。アステラスやヤマトＨＤは売られた。
一方、公的資金を使った再建支援案が伝わった東芝は上昇した。米国の経済政策の恩恵を受けるとの期待からファナックが昨年来高値を更新した。大和や住友鉱が買われた。
東証２部株価指数は反落した。シャープと朝日インテクが下げ、ＭＣＪとマーキュリアが上げた。

17日の新興企業向け株式市場で、日経ジャスダック平均株価は反落した。終値は前日比４円60銭（0.15％）安い3027円55銭だった。新規株式公開（ＩＰＯ）が相次ぐなか、個人投資家からＩＰＯ関連の売買資金を確保するための売りが既存銘柄に出た。もっとも、日経平均株価が下落するなど大型株への買いが見送られるなか、値動きが良く好業績を期待できる中小型株を買う動きもみられ、下値は限られた。
ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で560億円、売買高は8745万株だった。ＩＧポートやアスコット、ブロッコリーが下落した。半面、アエリアや平田機工、明豊エンターは上昇した。
東証マザーズ指数も反落した。終値は前日比17.22ポイント（1.64％）安い1034.62だった。そーせいやディディエ、ジーエヌアイが下落した。一方、うるるやドリコム、Ａｉｍｉｎｇが上昇した。
