16日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は反落した。終値は前日比90円45銭（0.47％）安の１万9347円53銭だった。外国為替市場で円安進行が一服して新たな買い材料に乏しい中、３月の決算期末が近づいた機関投資家からの売りに押された。下げ幅は一時170円を超えた。
ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は反落し、前日比24.38ポイント（0.17％）安の１万3917.90だった。東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）も反落し、2.62ポイント（0.17％）安の1551.07だった。
15日の米国株式市場でダウ工業株30種平均など主要３指数が最高値を更新し、日本株には追い風となった。もっとも、心理的な節目である１万9500円を前に「機関投資家の売り意欲は強い」との見方が多く、小幅安で始まった日経平均は徐々に下げ幅を広げた。
東証１部の売買代金は概算で２兆2549億円。売買高は20億2794万株だった。東証１部の値下がり銘柄数は1045と全体の52％を占めた。値上がりは774、変わらずは182銘柄だった。
ファストリやソフトバンクが下げた。トヨタも安い。ＡＮＡＨＤも下落した。取引時間中に物流センターの火災発生が伝わったアスクルは大幅に反落した。
半面、米長期金利の上昇を背景に東京海上など保険株が上げた。韓国子会社が製品を一括受注したと伝わったローツェは昨年来高値を更新。スマートフォン向けゲーム「ポケモンＧＯ」のリニューアルが報じられた任天堂が買われた。
東証２部株価指数は続伸した。ＦＤＫやフライトＨＤが上げ、シャープやマーキュリアが下げた。
16日の新興企業向け株式市場で、日経ジャスダック平均株価は５日続伸した。終値は前日比４円90銭（0.17％）高い2912円22銭で、連日で昨年来高値を更新した。円安一服で東証１部の主力株が軟調に推移するなか、相対的に円相場の影響を受けにくい内需株が多い新興銘柄に個人投資家などの買いが集まった。好材料の出た銘柄を物色する流れも追い風になった。
ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で483億円、売買高は9338万株だった。ＦＶＣやピクセル、山王が上昇した。一方、アエリアやイマジニアは材料があったものの出尽くしの売りが優勢だった。主力銘柄で構成するＪＡＳＤＡＱ―ＴＯＰ20は続落した。
きょうジャスダック市場に新規上場した日宣は、12時53分に公開価格（1600円）を87％上回る3000円で初値を付けた。終値は初値を294円（9.8％）下回る2706円だった。
東証マザーズ指数は小幅ながら４日続伸した。終値は前日比0.83ポイント（0.08％）高い1025.98だった。マザーズ市場の売買代金ランキング首位となったアスカネットが４日続伸したほか、時価総額の大きいそーせいやアカツキも上げた。半面、エボラブルＡやモブキャス、マイネットが下落した。
