１日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は続伸した。終値は前日比204円64銭（1.12％）高の１万8513円12銭だった。１月４日以来約11カ月ぶりに年初来高値を更新した。米国の長期金利の上昇で、日米金利差が拡大した。外国為替市場で円相場が１ドル＝114円台半ばまで急落し、ヘッジファンドや年金など海外投資家が幅広い銘柄に買いを入れた。東証１部できょう年初来高値を更新した銘柄数は297に上った。午後は個人投資家の利益確定売りが増え、伸び悩んだ。
中国国家統計局と中国物流購入連合会が１日発表した11月の製造業購買担当者景気指数（ＰＭＩ）は前月比0.5ポイント上昇の51.7と市場予想を上回った。石油輸出国機構（ＯＰＥＣ）の減産合意による原油相場の上昇とあわせ、新興国経済への過度な懸念が後退したことも買いを後押しした。日経平均の上げ幅は一時400円を超えた。
米大統領選直後の11月９日から前日までの日経平均の上げ幅は2000円を超えていた。このため個人投資家の間では高値警戒感が強まった。
ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は続伸し、前日比129.03ポイント（0.98％）高の１万3311.39だった。東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）も続伸し、13.84ポイント（0.94％）高の1483.27だった。
東証１部の売買代金は概算で３兆2911億円だった。売買高は28億2141万株だった。東証１部の値上がり銘柄数は1137と全体の57％を占めた。値下がりは735、変わらずは118銘柄だった。
三菱ＵＦＪや野村など金融株が上げ、ホンダやスズキなど自動車株も上昇した。国際石開帝石やＪＸなど原油関連銘柄は大幅高となった。日揮は年初来高値まで買われた。一方、ブリヂストンが下落した。ＪＡＬやＡＮＡなど空運株も売られた。ＪＲ東日本など鉄道株の一角も安い。沢井製薬は年初来安値まで下げた。
東証２部株価指数は続伸し、連日で年初来高値を更新した。安川情報やシャープが上げた。一方、フライトＨＤや朝日インテクが下げた。
１日の新興企業向け株式市場で日経ジャスダック平均株価は小幅に４日続伸し、連日で年初来高値を更新した。大引けは前日比35銭（0.01％）高の2668円44銭だった。上値の軽さを好感した買いが入ったほか、相場全体の上昇による個人の資金余力の高まりも追い風になった。午後は目先の利益をいったん確保する売りが出て、上げ幅を縮小した。
ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で611億円、売買高は１億3311万株。
マルマンやユビテック、ウェッジＨＤなどが上昇した。半面、ＦＶＣやピクセル、アスコットは下落した。
東証マザーズ指数は４日ぶりに反落した。終値は前日比2.5ポイント（0.27％）安の919.98だった。ＷＡＳＨハウやモブキャス、グリンペプなどが下落した。半面、メタップスやエルテス、そーせいは上昇した。
