５日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は７営業日ぶりに反落し、前日比106円47銭（0.67％）安の１万5669円33銭で終えた。先週から急ピッチで戻りを試していたため、目先の利益確定を目的とした売りが優勢となった。

日経平均は前日まで６日続伸し上げ幅も800円を超えていた。短期的な戻りに一服感が漂い利益確定売りが強まった。朝方から輸出関連株を中心に幅広い銘柄に売りが広がり、下げ幅は一時170円を超えた。

外国為替市場で円高が進み、円相場が一時１ドル＝101円台に振れたのも、投資家心理の改善に歯止めをかけた。前日の米株式市場は独立記念日で休場だったが、主要な欧州株式相場が軟調に推移したため日経平均の重荷になった。

週末に６月の米雇用統計の発表を控え様子見気分も強く、１日を通して値動きは鈍かった。日中値幅（高値と安値の差）は99円31銭と、５月25日（74円91銭）以来およそ１カ月半ぶりの小ささだった。

ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は３営業日ぶりに反落し、前日比54.24（0.48％）ポイント安の１万1342.45、東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）も３営業日ぶりに反落し、5.33ポイント（0.42％）安の1256.64だった。

東証１部の売買代金は概算で１兆5773億円だった。売買高は15億7847万株だった。東証１部の値下がり銘柄数は1102と全体の56％を占めた。値上がりは726、変わらずは139銘柄だった。

東証２部株価指数は７営業日ぶりに反落した。

５日の新興企業向け株式市場で、日経ジャスダック平均株価は７営業日ぶりに反落した。終値は前日比11円79銭（0.48％）安い2465円77銭だった。日経平均株価の下落を受け、投資家心理が悪化。新興企業向け株式市場では朝方に買いが入る場面もあったが、すぐに売り優勢となり、午後は終始軟調な推移が続いた。

ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で343億円、売買高は9480万株だった。ソフトフロンや平田機工、セプテニＨＤが下落した。半面、ＦＶＣやシダー、トレイダーズは上昇した。主力銘柄で構成するＪＡＳＤＡＱ―ＴＯＰ20も７営業日ぶりに反落した。

東証マザーズ指数は７営業日ぶりに反落した。終値は前日比13.72ポイント（1.30％）安い1042.85だった。
