１日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は６営業日ぶりに反落し、前日比279円25銭（1.62％）安の１万6955円73銭で終えた。下げ幅は５月２日（518円）以来、ほぼ１カ月ぶりの大きさだった。午後に入り外国為替市場で円相場が１ドル＝110円40銭近辺にあったストップロス（損失覚悟）の円買い・ドル売りを巻き込んで109円65銭近辺まで上昇した。「円売り・株価指数先物買い」の持ち高整理を誘い、日経平均先物に売りが膨らんだ。裁定取引の解消に伴う売りがファストリやＫＤＤＩなど値がさ株にも出て、指数を押し下げた。日経平均は326円安の１万6908円まで下げ幅を広げる場面があった。

日本時間１日夕刻に安倍晋三首相が国会会期末に伴う記者会見で消費税率引き上げの先送りを表明する見通し。夜には米サプライマネジメント協会（ＩＳＭ）製造業景況感指数や米地区連銀経済報告（ベージュブック）の発表が予定されている。イベントを控えて持ち高整理の動きが広がったとの指摘があった。

東証１部の売買高は19億9528万株だった。値下がり銘柄は1350と全体の７割弱を占めた。値上がりは473、変わらずは132だった。

東証２部株価指数は３営業日ぶりに反落した。

１日の新興企業向け株式市場で、日経ジャスダック平均株価は小幅ながら４営業日ぶりに下落した。終値は前日比１円29銭（0.05％）安い2547円56銭だった。

後場に円相場の急伸で日経平均株価が一段安すると、投資家心理が悪化し、運用リスクを避ける動きが強まった。

ジャスダック市場の売買代金は概算で389億円、売買高は8281万株だった。
主力銘柄で構成するＪＡＳＤＡＱ―ＴＯＰ20は反落した。

東証マザーズ指数は４営業日ぶりに反落した。終値は前日比16.72ポイント（1.46％）安い1127.92だった。
