４日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価は大幅に４営業日ぶりに反落し、前営業日に比べ582円73銭（3.06％）安の１万8450円98銭で終えた。10月22日以来、およそ２カ月半ぶりの安値を付けた。低調な2015年12月の中国製造業購買担当者景気指数（ＰＭＩ）の発表を受けて中国・上海株式相場が大幅下落。投資家心理が悪化して運用リスク回避するための売りが出た。

　日経平均は下落幅を600円超に広げる場面もあった。昨年末の米株安や、サウジアラビアとイランの間で緊張感が高まっているのも重荷となり、買い手控えにつながった。外国為替市場で円高・ドル安が急速に進み、輸出関連企業などの業績の先行き懸念が強まった面もある。

　ＪＰＸ日経インデックス400は４営業日ぶりに反落。終値は前営業日比354.69ポイント（2.54％）安の１万3597.24だった。東証株価指数（ＴＯＰＩＸ）も４営業日ぶりに反落し、37.63ポイント（2.43％）安の1509.67で終えた。

　東証１部の売買代金は概算で２兆2653億円。売買高は19億8657万株だった。東証１部の値下がり銘柄数は1712と全体の88％を占めた、値上がりは170、変わらずは53だった。
