２４日後場の日経平均株価は前週末比４５円０８銭高の１万９９２４円８９銭と５営業日続伸。終値での１万９９００円台は８月２０日（２万３３円５２銭）以来３カ月ぶりの高値水準となる。後場寄り付き後はしばらく小安い水準でもみ合ったが、根強い買いに支えられ、再びプラス浮上した。株価指数先物買いを交えてジリ高歩調となり、午後２時４２分には、この日の高値となる１万９９５４円００銭（前週末比７４円１９銭高）を付ける場面があった。買い一巡後は上げ一服となったが、引けにかけて１万９９００円台前半で推移した。

　東証１部の出来高は２０億６２０９万株、売買代金は２兆２８０９億円。騰落銘柄数は値上がり１２３６銘柄、値下がり５５４銘柄、変わらず１２７銘柄。
